Pick your wallet
Not every wallet can export a viewing key, so not every wallet can be checked here. Where Turnstile cannot see, the guide tells you how to read the balance inside the wallet instead.
Zashi
Zashi (now published as Zodl) shields to Orchard by default, so if you hold ZEC here it is almost certainly in the pool that stops taking deposits. It does not export a viewing key, so you check your balance inside the app rather than through Turnstile.
Check inside the walletYWallet
YWallet gives you direct control over which pool your funds live in, and it can export a viewing key — so you can check your exposure with Turnstile before you touch anything.
Checkable in TurnstileZingo PC
Zingo is the wallet Turnstile itself is built on — it exports a unified full viewing key and its birthday in one place, which makes it the smoothest wallet to check and migrate.
Checkable in TurnstileZallet
If you are still on zcashd you are on the tightest clock of anyone: zcashd halts itself before the Orchard deadline, and its successor cannot export a viewing key. Export what you need while zcashd is still running.
Check inside the walletOn an exchange
If your ZEC sits on an exchange, it is not your key and not your problem to migrate — it is theirs. Your job is to find out whether they have done it, and to ask loudly if they have not.
